“I Need My Heart, Breath Of Death, Beat As a Drum”

I’m always fascinated by the splendor of the everyday. Against all the depressing and chaotic evidence to the contrary, life has meaning and values I often reflect upon existential questions on the meaning of Fear, Death and Loss. Being human is an enigma for me.

My ideas manifested like a thousand horses in my head, I’m constantly searching to elevate human life and the tenacity of the human spirit. My practice seems to me to exist in a space between many things: materiality and performativity; absurd humor and grueling tenacity; ritual and release; sound and silence; it is intuitive and considered; ephemeral and object- based. It inhibits body, object, room and world.

My intention is to affirm this life, not to bring order out of chaos, nor to suggest improvements in creation, but simply to wake up to the very life we’re living, which is so excellent once one gets one’s mind and desires out of its way and lets it act of its own accord. Understanding deeper than my own of what it is to be human, attuned to the kaleidoscopic reality of being alive.

Welcome to my world.
